Today marks an anniversary in Boston. Everyone knows. Last year the Boston Marathon exploded with horror and proceeded with kindness and now remembrance.

The extreme coverage and focus strikes people in different ways. Some say “enough”. Move on. What of the untold stories of trauma and violence wracking inner cities. What of other lives, limbs, loved ones lost in small print news.

But the Boston Marathon of 2013 is history. It was traumatic for many. Many acted with courage. Some showed kindness. And the event of last year now holds a place in a web with other stories. It is a node we can learn from, heal from, and let connect to other stories where community and care is needed.

I’ll be adding more threads throughout this week leading up to the real day Monday, April 22. Tune in for the spread.
