NGO Hindara and the Kandahar Fine Arts Association sponsored a program that trained 30 young artists in Kandahar to receive training in graffiti arts techniques. These artists have applied these newfound skills despite threats to their live to encourage people to vote in the April 5 election. Their works, 33 graffiti pieces,  exist now in 11 parts of Kandahar and on a Facebook page devoted to this initiative. This initiative has given youth a stroke and space to their voice on the streets where citizens can see and be inspired.
